The Mike Cusanovich Memorial Golf Tournament, Tee Off for Education! is scheduled for September 10, 2011. This charity golf tournament raises money for the YES education program of the Postal History Foundation, A nonprofit IRS 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to education and postal history for over 50 years. Each year the Postal History Foundation supplies curriculum based lessons and stamps to teachers and students in Tucson and Arizona. They support over 10,000 kids a year in the classroom, libraries, parks and recreation centers, scout troops, home schools, and at community events.
Mike Cusanovich was an active member of the Board of Directors of the PHF and a long-time professor in the science department of the University of Arizona. He was a fulltime Wildcat fan and loved teaching, science research, golf and collecting stamps. Cusanovich liked to golf at the Randolph Golf Complex in Tucson, AZ and The Tournament will take place at Randolph North with a 7:30am tee off. Registration includes Gift Bags, Raffle prizes and lunch, plus a chance to win a Krank driver! The first 20 participants to sign up will also get a Ritz-Carlton golf hat!
Registration is $100 per person, and businesses or organizations can support the cause by sponsoring a hole for $100.
