Paul Skelton, The General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, of The Country Club at DC Ranch, has been named the recipient of the 2012 “Mead Grady Excellence in Club Management Award” The Mead Grady award is presented annually by the McMahon Group to the top General Manager in the category of private country clubs with less than 600 full-time members.
The Excellence in Club Management® Awards was founded by McMahon Group and is cosponsored by Club & Resort Business magazine. It is an annual award that recognizes private club general managers, managers and chief operating officers who have exhibited outstanding skills in managing their club.
This award recognizes Mr. Skelton for his leadership skills, management skills, commitment to continuing education (for both he and his staff), the over-all influence he has had on the member experience at The Country Club at DC Ranch and his impact on the financial well-being of our Club. It places him among a very small group of elite private club General Managers in the entire country. Paul joined The Country Club at DC Ranch as General Manager/Chief Operating Officer in 2010, while the Club transitioned from a developer owned club to a member owned club. During his short term, Mr. Skelton and his team have successfully welcomed over 250 new members while maintaining a finically healthy and active club.
The formal presentation of the award will take place at the Club Manager Association meetings in San Diego on February 9, 2013.
